Suffolk Awards Gain Momentum

by | Mar 4, 2016

We’re thrilled to be working on The Suffolk Coastal Business & Community Awards again this year to deliver these fabulous Suffolk awards. We’ve been working with Suffolk Coastal District Council since 2013 to create, launch and grow these awards.

Efforts over the last three years have allowed these awards to build up a really great profile, attract big-hitting sponsors and put in place an effective approach to communications. The event itself has improved every year and is one of the most joyful evenings of community celebration you will see.

Earlier this week we gathered all the sponsors and organisers together with the media at The Hangar, Kesgrave Hall to celebrate the launch of the 2016 awards.

This year’s awards categories cover teamwork, growth, services to the community and charities, environmental impact, customer service, health and wellbeing and tourism. The focus is on the last 18 months and naturally looks at people from, or work carried out in, Suffolk Coastal.

We’re working with some fantastic local businesses who have come on board as sponsors: EDF Energy, EB Carpets, Melton Day Nursery, Places for People Leisure, The Local Strategic Partnership, The Suffolk Coast DMO, Ufford Park and Suffolk Coastal District Council. Plus, Anglia Radio’s Town 102 and The Beach Radio Stations are also supporting as 2016 media partners.

The awards open for nominations on 15th April with the deadline for entries of 30th June. The winners will be announced at a black tie awards dinner at The Hanger, Kesgrave Hall on 15th September.

Nicola Cannon, sponsor of the people development award and owner of Melton Day Nursery, described the awards: “These awards give local businesses and groups the recognition and encouragement they deserve and we are very happy to be a part of that.”

Tarnia Robertson, Managing Director of Ufford Park, said: “These Suffolk awards are the perfect chance for us to acknowledge other local businesses and individuals within the local community and to give them the recognition they deserve.  We are delighted to be part of them this year and we wish everyone entering the best of luck!”
