Mascots for marketing – Millie’s a mini magnet!
Woodbridge Tide Mill has been an iconic attraction in Woodbridge for years. Visitor numbers are healthy but to keep the Mill running it could always use more. We looked at its appeal to families and launched the character of Millie the Mouse in order to make the Mill more attractive.

Millie provides a youthful and fun voice for the Tide Mill and serve as an easily identifiable personality through which the Mill can get more involved in the town’s many events and celebrations. We worked with local artist Nicole Boitos Hayworth to develop the character of Millie the Mouse who made her debut at Woodbridge’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt on 4th April where she introduced herself and posing for selfies with the families.

She contributes to the Tide Mill’s social media channels and has a column in the monthly Woodbridge Supplement within the East Anglian Daily Times. The Tide Mill is bringing in a colouring corner where visiting children can colour in pictures of Millie & her brother Milo.

We also added some Millie merchandise to the selection they sell at the Mill to raise the funds needed to keep the mill running. Millie has already been embraced by the town’s business association, Choose Woodbridge, as well as many members of the local business community.
