Launching a Trampoline Park

by | Mar 13, 2015

Very excited to be working with Jump Street on launching Essex’s first sole-purpose trampoline park!. We’re working with the owners to launch the business and open their first park on Cowdray Park in Colchester this summer. A whole warehouse of interconnecting trampolines will create a 20,000 square foot bounce space which will include free-bounce areas, basketball nets, a giant inflatable bag and two dodgeball courts.

We’re working with the owners to build the Jump Street brand, build a local profile and get a strategic marketing plan in place to drive sales from day one.

Jump Street will open in time for the summer holidays. Jumpers will need to be over seven years old and wear specially designed, non-slip socks within the bounce area. Trained safety staff will supervise and there will be a café on the mezzanine floor from which parents can watch.

Trampoline parks are relatively new in the UK but are on the increase following their popularity in the United States and Australia. Trampolining is the latest fitness craze for adults to hit the UK as it is a lot of fun and proven to improve cardiovascular fitness, balance and coordination. Jump Street plans to offer a varied programme of fitness classes for adults.

The park will also be available for corporate away days, team building and charity dodgeball matches.

Sam Bartlett, owner, explains: “We’re working really hard to create a park that is exciting and exhilarating while making sure it leads the way in safety standards. We want to make it comfortable for the parents and adults using it as well as being suitable and engaging for children. It’s a huge project that will be well worth the effort. We’ve seen the popularity in Australia and we’re keen to make this type of safe, healthy fun available to the people of Essex as soon as we can.”

As you’d expect when launching a business, this new trampoline park is now in full recruitment mode with some 30 vacancies covering a range of roles including trampoline instructors, supervisors, marshals, baristas and more. For more information visit www.jumpstreet.co.uk
